Palma

El Cardenal from Palma Street is located in a beautiful French-style building with high ceilings and wide “cantera” (quarried stone) columns, which can be admired thanks to the detailed and professional work performed by architect José Helue Mina.

Daily service is offered in two floors. A recent remodeling leaves to the visitor’s eye both the kitchen and the bakery, which can be seen from the entrance in the ground floor. As going upstairs to the next level there is a spacious dining room distinguished by stained-glass windows and framed by solid quarry pillars and wooden furniture, which create a sober but pleasant atmosphere.  The first floor ends in a room that can become independent by closing its stylish doors to offer privacy to a group of guests of no more than 30 people. This space is identified by its tapestry decorations framed in fine wood, which make it more welcoming, as well as for its blue colored stained-glass windows.

As continuing to the third floor, through the elevator, you get into the small Rancho Nuevo room, which features a large painting that gives its name to it, depicting the old hacienda that belonged to the owners’ family. This room gives way to a larger one, known as Salón de la Esperanza, used for special events with a capacity up to 80 people.
